My Healing Notes

This old alpha of the pack died at 10 am. I heard that he cried a lot in the end.:( I'd been healing off the distemper attacks for months now but this time his flesh just fell off and he was just bones in 2 weeks. His improvement of last week just vanished before this spell of rain. He leaves behind a scared feral group of 3. He led their survival of the periodic firecracker hell the city becomes by the ancient dog run around the entire neighborhood for about a week. Very dangerous roads but his wily routes were the key to their long lives. He's left the group in the hands of a zealot dominant.:( The care ppl took of him I hope will relieve their anxiety wrt humans to some extent. For the first time, I saw ppl leave a dying dog alone while offering it food and water. Such amazing awareness and kindness to let this king of dogs choose where he dies! [Old White died on June 1. Kitten died the next morning.] Just before I left I found a kitten that had either been run over or paralyzed with distemper. My neighbor's driver was apologizing profusely but I'm not sure he ran over it because it calmed down quickly with Grindelia. I've left him locked up and alone in a room because I had to go and heal the Old White. He's in pretty bad shape, shivering with cold but not wet at least. Grindelia gave him so much relief he ate a half hour later. I borrowed a newspaper and covered him as best I could and came home drenched. I got up to my dogs barking, the excited whine of the hunting pack and the death of Alex.:( Fortunately little Hero managed to climb a tree and all the other cats got away. [Kingy killed, Alex lives. They were identical and inseparable.] Just a half hour ago, 3 dogs in a pack came into my drive and tore King who was sleeping on a rice bag. Howlie bravely led the charge for me and we managed to get them to drop King. By the time I got a blanket to pick King up, he was trying to climb into the engine chassis of a car. He was on 3 legs and dragging himself with his jaw dropped. I wrapped him warm and brought him in and he died!:( For a half hour I tried breathing prana into him, my emotions again wouldn't let me yawn properly. He stayed warm and the guides wanted me to hold his left paw which was ice cold.  I held both and continued breathing for him and I felt a dance of the energy in his paws, like he was trying to suck in the prana but his core line would push it away again. That peculiar but hopeful dance kept me at it for 10 more minutes after which the guides said he was gone. This is probably why paramedics warm the extremities -- so that the pran...

I've realised Ray Peat is right. Sleep is a stress response and it's always a kind of vertigo that triggers it & after eating.

The white park dog in PLO has survived. He's as thin as a rake and very weak but ate some food. I've never been able to save an adult dog from the X syndrome cascade of distemper before.  11 adult dogs, 2 puppies are missing from the day before the thunderstorm. 2 kittens dead in May. I've not even been recording since it's so devastating. I'm hoping more will spring up from gutters and hiding places they may have taken to during the last energy wave.
